A reputable law firm located in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join its dynamic insurance coverage litigation team. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid or remote work and is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in commercial litigation or insurance-related matters. The firm’s practice specializes in representing insurers in complex insurance coverage disputes, including those related to general liability, property, and professional liability policies, as well as bad faith actions.

Duties

  • Provide comprehensive analysis of insurance policies and deliver coverage opinions to clients.
  • Draft legal pleadings, briefs, and correspondence to clients.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research using platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis/Nexis.
  • Prepare interrogatories and document requests.
  • Review and organize document collections in preparation for litigation.
  • File legal documents with courts and ensure compliance with relevant procedures.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice law in Texas.
  • A strong academic background with excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • An interest in insurance coverage law is essential, with a preference for experience with general liability policies.
  • At least some experience in commercial litigation.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
