ProfileParalegal The candidate will draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, notices and subpoenas. Will prepare witness and matter materials for attorney review. Conduct various document searches and factual research using Westlaw. Assist with preparations for hearings, mediations and trials. Index and maintain files that are organized chronologically, numerically and/or by subject matter. Collect, organize, analyze and summarize medical records. Organize and prepare exhibits, files and all other supporting documents for trial. Work in Relativity, Concordance or other databases. Summarize depositions and discovery responses. Perform basic jury research. Schedule and prepare for depositions as needed.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have two or four year degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program with 3-5 years of experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills essential. Must have superior technology skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products. Must ideally have experience in mass tort practice areas and excel in a fast-paced corporate law setting.
