Legal Assistant / Case Manager Candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the law firm, including carrying out administrative services, providing support to the legal team and ensuring that the firm remains in compliance with state legal regulations. Responsibilities will include: Support Firm attorneys and staff with various duties for Personal Injury cases to facilitate and expedite service to Firm clients. Obtain pertinent information from clients, including treatment status, doctor appointment information, changes in medical care and/or work status, documents and records information and the like. Open and maintain client files. Obtain medical bills and records from healthcare providers Identify and complete daily tasks related to the management of each case, documenting notes in Firm case management system Open and maintain client files. Review and organize extensive client documents including medical bills and records, letters, and legal documents Refer legal issues to the appropriate attorney.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bilingual (English / Spanish) Medical records expertise. Experience working cases in a personal injury legal office Strong time management skills required. Must be able to multi-task and handle tasks quickly and tactfully with all levels of Firm personnel and the public. Excellent organizational skills. Strong client service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive and enthusiastic attitude, self-motivate and professional. Detail oriented and motivated Data entry proficiency and computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to keep case notes current and documented appropriately Ability to follow direction and use initiative to complete tasks Team player. Previous experience is required.
