Counsel-General Law Responsibilities: Working with and advising IIS Supply Chain on complex legal issues concerning legal rights and obligations, including compliance with FAR and DFARS, Raytheon standard terms and conditions, cyber security, antitrust, export/import (ITAR and EAR), FCPA and other legal and regulatory compliance issues. Reviewing, drafting and leading or supporting negotiations of terms and conditions of purchase orders, overarching agreements, licenses, teaming agreements and other transactions with domestic and international suppliers. Representing IIS on Raytheon-wide Supply Chain working groups and projects. Supporting due diligence reviews of potential suppliers. Representing Raytheon to suppliers and business partners, including advising on supplier and business partner communications, performance issues, and dispute resolution. Coordinating with IIS Mission Area Counsel on business related disputes with suppliers and business partners, including litigation, arbitration, bid protests, and claims before state and federal courts and administrative bodies.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree and member in good standing of a US state Bar. 6 years related experience with law degree. Deep knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, industry standards for commercial terms and conditions, and best practices in supply chain management. Familiarity with work in a global context, and able to occasionally travel, including overseas. Ability to interact well with multiple levels of the organization and maintain strong relationships with peers, internal clients and external customers. Sound judgment and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in teams with other in-house lawyers and clients on multiple projects at once. Ability to think and work proactively and strategically in resolving legal issues. Preferred: Experience with government contracts, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS). Experience with international contracting/subcontracting. Familiarity in trade control laws, including ITAR and EAR.
