Deputy District Attorney Ii Command Center/Operations (Investigators) The candidate will prepare and prosecutes the more difficult misdemeanor cases taken to trial (e.g., driving under the influence, domestic violence, child neglect). Will prepare and prosecute felony cases of average difficulty in a department of the Superior Court (e.g., possession of a controlled substance, burglary, forgery, auto theft). Prepare and conducts difficult preliminary hearings of felony cases. Conduct negotiations with defense attorneys regarding the disposition of a case. Confer with witnesses, law enforcement officers, defense attorneys, and other interested parties regarding cases. Prepare and present felony and misdemeanor cases against minors in juvenile court. Advise investigators and law enforcement officers on the legal phases of work. Must have 1+ year of experience practicing criminal law.
