  • Prepare and review legal pleadings, correspondence, and filings related to bankruptcy proceedings.

  • Represent clients in court hearings, negotiate with opposing counsel, and participate in settlement discussions.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in the firm's internal legal management systems.

  • Uphold strict confidentiality and professional integrity in all legal matters.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to bankruptcy, foreclosure, and debt collection.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal situations effectively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with legal teams when necessary.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the New York State Bar.

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control principles is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal writing and research.

  • Ability to analyze legal documents and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.

  • Familiarity with bankruptcy laws and litigation procedures.

  • Competency in using legal technology and office software.
