Paralegal The candidate will providing support to internal investment product legal professionals primarily by working with a team to update and file investment company disclosure documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SECâ€). Will be conforming and reviewing documents and maintaining internal databases and files. Assisting with the preparation of international filings needed to facilitate advisory business, including foreign investment authorizations and asset holdings filings. Updating and conforming disclosure through a content management system for various investment products. Preparing a variety of filings with regulators to facilitate our advisory business, including foreign investment authorizations and asset holdings filings. Working with a disclosure team of lawyers, legal assistants and administrative assistants to make timely SEC filings and final typeset documents. Working with external and internal sources to update information in disclosure documents and to facilitate various reviews of such documents prior to filing. Coordinating with a disclosure team to work on disclosure related to new regulations or changed circumstance. Assisting lawyers with various tasks as needed, such as organizing and maintaining files, obtaining required signatures and researching various issues. Coordinating with other lawyers, legal assistants and other business and support staff to maintain various investment products and help resolve issues. Assisting with legal department and other projects as assigned. Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification is required. Financial services industry experience is required; 4+ years of experience is preferred. Previous experience as a paralegal working for a law firm or in-house corporate law department is strongly preferred. Working understanding of corporate/securities/asset management law is preferred. Experience related to investment advisors, mutual funds and other investment products is preferred. Excellent computer skill is essential.
