Legal Assistant Duties: Assisting 3-4 attorneys in an administrative role. Finalizing correspondence, reports, memos, and court filings. Answering telephone calls, emails, and faxes. Ordering office supplies. Requesting Expense Checks. Maintaining Filing. Preparing Motions. Daily intake of attorney mail. Maintenance of attorney calendars for court appearances, due dates, and client meetings.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Must have at least one full year of law office experience in New York or New Jersey. The ability to work under a team structure is essential as the support staff is the foundation of the firm. Constant communication with other administrative staff, paralegals, and attorneys is key. A professional demeanor with clients is a must.
