Profile

Legal Assistant The candidate will join Personal injury and Criminal Defense cases. Must be a good communicator in person, over the phone, and in writing. Must be bilingual. (Spanish and English). Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Adobe. Answering the phones and accurately take and transmit messages and caller contact info. Encourage potential clients to hire the firm/make an appointment. Greet clients and sign up/interview new clients. Calendar hearings, deadlines and other relevant dates, on paper calendar and online. Collect payments. (I.e. must be trustworthy). Make, organize, and maintain client folders. Upkeep firm information/excel sheets etc. Mail out documents. Run miscellaneous errands. Draft correspondence as needed- pleadings, discovery requests, motions, notices and subpoenas; etc.
