Duties

  • Collaboration: Work alongside experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants as part of a cohesive legal team.
  • Legal Research: Conduct in-depth research on workers' compensation and keep updated on legal developments in the field.
  • Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients to build relationships and ensure clear communication on case progress.
  • Attorney Responsibilities: Handle depositions, mediations, claim conferences, and court appearances as part of case progression.
  • Document Preparation: Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, and opinions.

Requirements

  • 0-5 years of experience in the legal field, ideally with exposure to workers' compensation or similar areas.
  • Proficiency in administrative laws and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload and prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills and an ability to work well with corporate professionals.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active law license in Missouri or eligibility to become licensed in Missouri.
