Real Estate Attorney The candidate should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member of the Pennsylvania, Virginia, and/or Maryland (together with the District of Columbia) Bars. Must have 10+ years of experience in complex commercial real estate transactions, including experience in acquisition and sales transactions and land use and development, particularly in the homebuilder industry. Experience representing developers of residential subdivisions, mixed use projects, and apartment projects is required. Should have a thorough knowledge of real estate acquisition and sale transactions, development and building issues, contract administration and closing work, title insurance, survey, due diligence process, and closing requirements, all as applied to commercial real estate development and transactions.
