Intellectual Property Legal Administrative Assistant Duties: Composes routine and complex reporting correspondence. Maintains internal docket for each attorney. Electronically files all documents into the appropriate folder. Performs all administrative duties such as coordinating the monthly processing of bills. Identifies and researches issues with documentation that may be inaccurate. Performs patent and trademark internet research. Performs e-filing with Patent and Trademark Office. Responds to phone calls and emails in a professional manner. Develops and maintains smooth working relationships with staff, attorneys and clients.

Qualification and Experience

Candidate must have 5 years of legal administrative assistant experience preferably in IP. Able to handle day-to-day work challenges and adjust to multiple demands, priorities and rapid change. Must be able to function independently and anticipate the attorneys’ needs with exceptional attention to detail and follow through. Must be willing and motivated to learn. Excellent writing skills are also important as this position requires the ability to compose complex and difficult correspondence. Proven advanced knowledge of Office 2010 to include Word, Outlook and intermediate Excel knowledge.
