Legal Resource Assistant Candidate will be responsible for assisting the Legal Resource manager with the processing, maintenance and updating of all print and electronic resources, subscriptions, and other records under the oversight of the Legal Resources Department. Must have: Bachelor’s degree. Microsoft experience required. Westlaw or other online research database knowledge is a plus. Strong verbal and written proficiencies required. Knowledge of legal and business-related print and electronic law library resources and library management; Knowledge of general office and invoicing forms, processes and procedures; and the general industry procedures, practices and terminology. Skill in developing effective communication materials; and use of office equipment including computer, scanner, fax, printer, telephone system, etc. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a professional constructive and courteous manner; to be patient under frustrating circumstances and demonstrate controlled emotional affect in difficult situations; to engage in effective interpersonal interaction, verbal and written communication. Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts; the use of time management, organizational leadership; and maintaining effective working relationships with all members of the firm. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, and Excel software preferred) and generally able to work in a variety of databases. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while remaining flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests. Read, write and communicate in English effectively. Maintain all firm policies, including confidentiality and safety policies. Actively contributes to team effort.
