Branch Supervisor
The candidate will be responsible for the oversight of the compliance programs and works to ensure the credit union remains in compliance with all regulations and mitigates potential liabilities. Will provide daily compliance advice and guidance to departments and branches including to review of legal documents in accordance with established procedures. Respond to compliance inquiries within established service levels to maintain operational excellence. Keep abreast of, monitor, and analyze developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance laws, rules and regulations, and advise management of the operational impact of such trends and changes. Facilitate implementation of new and regulatory changes as necessary. Perform regulatory research includingto laws (federal/state) and open cases affecting the banking industry. Act as a liaison to Internal Audit department during internal and external exams of business units as it relates to regulatory compliance. Collaborate with Learning and Development to ensure appropriate compliance training materials are reviewed and provided. Provides support by implementing systems, procedures, processes and policies. Provides informed regulatory and compliance information and awareness to staff (and Credit Union members when necessary) through positive, proactive communication, education programs and materials. AML Software (VERAFIN) support; work with ensuring updates to system or tested. Responsible for identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and recommend changes to ensure ongoing compliance. Act as a liaison and supports in fostering and sustaining positive professional partnerships with regulatory authorities, legal counsel, informational associations and service vendors authorized to represent the Credit Union's regulatory, legal and ethical interests.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have 3 years of financial regulatory related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Must have knowledge of federal and state regulatory environments affecting credit unions and the financial industry. Paralegal experience with an in-house legal department or a law firm a plus. PC literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel skills is required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
