Location:

Duties:

• Handle habeas corpus cases and other criminal defense matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
• Appear in court for hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys for training and guidance.
• Manage a caseload and stay organized while handling multiple matters.
• Provide strong oral advocacy in court proceedings.

Requirements:

• 0-5 years of legal experience.
• Experience in criminal law, appellate work, or habeas corpus is a plus.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple cases.
• Ability to work independently while receiving mentorship and supervision.
• Willingness to travel to courts and correctional facilities as required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Connecticut.

Skills:
