Columbia office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an associate bankruptcy attorney with 3 years of bankruptcy experience representing creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters. The candidate will prepare and review motions for relief from stay for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13s, and objections to Chapter 13 plans. Prepare responses to motions to value, oppositions to objections to claim, review and interpret all documents (legal & otherwise) deed of trusts, notes, assignments, property title, dockets, pleadings, etc. Respond to court notifications and inquiries received from clients, debtors, and debtors' attorneys. Experience in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and case law research is required. Chapter 11 experience and adversary matters experience is a plus. Must be admitted to practice and in good standing in South Carolina and all federal bankruptcy courts. Admission to practice in other states would be a plus.
