Duties

  • Lead and manage life science intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, licensing agreements, and IP litigation.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for IP portfolio management and growth.
  • Provide expert advice on complex life science IP issues to clients and internal teams.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and retention levels.
  • Drive business development efforts to expand the firm’s client base and revenue in the life sciences sector.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff in IP matters.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas to offer comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
  • Stay current on industry trends, legal developments, and emerging technologies in the life sciences field.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona.
  • Experience in life science intellectual property law.
  • Demonstrated success with a portable and consistent business book of $600,000+.
  • Extensive experience in patent prosecution, IP transactions, and litigation within the life sciences sector.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead complex IP matters effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science field (., Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology) or a related scientific discipline.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
