Administrative and Legal Assistant The candidate manages the 501c3 group exemption; communicates with churches and districts to provide documents and instructions; maintains knowledge of state processes for incorporation procedures and document maintenance; applies high level attention to detail, exceptional follow-up, customer service skills, and time management skills (primary duty). Coordinates the contract review process. Gathers information for annual insurance renewals in coordination with General Accounting, Payroll, Alliance Missions, and other areas as needed. Assists with preparation of materials for Board meetings and President’s Cabinet meetings including area reports, agendas, schedules, and gathering information from area of ministry executive assistants. Assists with travel arrangements for Board members and committee members; utilizes meeting/event planning skills to assist with setting up meetings, meals, and logistics. Distributes worker’s compensation notices to out-of-state employees annually. Assists with preparation for biennial General Council as needed; may travel to attend and work at Council as requested. Assists HR specialist with recruiting, processing of new employees, transitions, conclusions, annual performance appraisals tracking, tracking of completed annual benefits enrollment forms, and safety training completions. Processes Years of Service award presentation letters, coordinates with Payroll for award checks, and coordinates with assistant to the president and area of ministry executive assistant for award presentation in Thursday chapels. Prints and circulates welcome certificates for new hires; assembles and delivers welcome bags and certificates prior to new hire’s start date. Copies and collates HR Team meeting agenda and attachments. Serves as backup greeter for visitors to the Executive Office. Maintains office supply and kitchen supply inventories; assists with special events as needed. Profess a personal belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior. Accept and live in accordance with the C&MA Statement of Faith. Must preferably have 1–2 years college. Should have 2 years of experience in a related position within the C&MA
