Paralegal Duties: Conducts various document searches and factual research. Summarizes legal documents such as deposition transcripts. Drafts legal documents including, pleadings and discovery motions. Assists with trial preparation and pre-trial submission. Assists with drafting and filing motions for Summary Judgment and motions in Limine. Works closely with defense experts. Prepares for depositions. Files court documents. Prepares general correspondence, memoranda and complex legal documents according to the requirements set by each practice group. Subpoena medical, insurance and employment records. Analyzes, reviews and summarizes medical, insurance and employment records. Maintains, organizes and tracks files in an efficient and effective manner. Maintains confidentiality of client information in accordance with firm policies. Interacts professionally with clients, attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, all other staff and other representatives outside of the firm. Ability to handle pressure, interruptions and multiple projects with frequently changing priorities and deadlines.

Requirements: Paralegal certificate preferred. 3+ years of defense litigation experience, product liability personal injury experience preferred. Experience in premises liability, products liability, and motor vehicle defense. Experience with document control and e-filing with Federal Courts. Exceptional organization skills. Excellent writing and communication skills. Team work oriented. Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to perform legal research. In depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles. Ability to analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy.
