Contract Administrator/Paralegal
Duties: Review, draft, negotiate and edit agreements, primarily related to company’s the sales function. Responsible for assigned agreements throughout the entire contracting process up to execution and implementation. Work closely with the security and finance teams as required when negotiating agreements. Maintain high a level of understanding of the Company’s internal components (such as Sales, Editorial, Accounts Receivable) and knowledge of the Company’s products and services. Maintain knowledge of basic contract law. Assist the sales department in the completion and execution of the contract process. Advise sales department on Business Wire guidelines related to SOC-2, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other related client requests. Responsible for partnering with other departments to assist and facilitate the completion of customer questionnaires and other customer compliance requests. Represent Business Wire in situations that require a legal opinion or presence with clients. Help administer the Legal Sales database using JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite and other applications. Assist with various compliance matters from time to time, including data privacy and ethics. Maintenance of Legal the Team files and procedures, including contract administration and compliance matters. Complete ad hoc tasks as necessary.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal studies preferred 3+ years’ experience working with sales related agreements and compliance matters in a corporate setting preferred Significant experience with service sales agreements and related issues to contracts administration and working with in in-house clients in a cross-team environment preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, across organizational and geographic boundaries, and meet deadlines. Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and collaborate with other teams throughout the entire contracting process. Ability to proactively prioritize, multitask, and collaborate in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and JIRA. Ability to work independently and with proficient time management skills. Strong problem-solving skills and strong independent/critical/analytical thinking skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
