Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a mid-level Business Transactions Associate to join its practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Exposure to securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures is a plus. A background in accounting or tax, or an . in Taxation, is highly preferred. The role requires excellent academic credentials, demonstrated writing skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team-oriented environment. Duties:

  • Manage and support complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Assist in securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures
  • Draft, review, and negotiate business transaction agreements
  • Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with other team members
  • Deliver high-quality client service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in business transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions
  • Exposure to securities offerings, corporate finance transactions, and joint ventures is preferred
  • Accounting or tax experience (or an . in Taxation) is strongly preferred
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and commitment to client service

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:
