The candidate should have following qualifications:
Specialized Experience Requirement:
GS-11: Must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include: Writing database queries and providing guidance and support in both corporate/regional data, geospatial and tabular, while managing of natural resources software, programs, and applications for corporate databases; develop and deploy data input for corporate and Geographic Information System (GIS) applications; participating in beta testing, analysis, coordination and distribution of information learned, from new national module releases and updates to the end user.
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., that included a major field of study in information technology management and the education was obtained in an accredited college or university.
A combination of an appropriate combination of specialized experience and graduate level education(beyond what is required for a master's degree, i.e., more than 36 semester hours leading to a Ph.D.)that included a major field of study in information technology management and the education was obtained in an accredited college or university.
GS-12: Must have 1 year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of qualifying experience include: work as an information technology specialist, GIS specialist, application developer, database expert, data manager or other work that demonstrates the mastery of federal regulations and procedures governing information technology, GIS, database management and application development; working with managers and resource specialists to determine type, amount and level of information required to develop and analyze ecosystem management alternatives; assessing quality, compatibility, and limitations of various data used in a wide array of land management and planning efforts; developing data dictionaries, data models, and metadata for multi-disciplinary information and geospatial applications.
