Paralegal, Medical-Legal Partnership The candidate will be based out of company’s Greenville office and will play an integral role in our efforts to work with new MLP partners at Vidant Health and East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine to improve health and legal outcomes for residents in 29 rural, eastern North Carolina counties, with a particular emphasis on serving individuals and families who live in communities that were devastated by the impact of Hurricane Matthew. With training, the paralegal will work under attorney supervision to: work as part of a legal team to provide legal advice and representation to clients in civil matters; provide litigation support; represent clients in administrative hearings; draft correspondence and legal documents; identify, screen and interview patients who may benefit from legal assistance; participate in community education and outreach events; maintain records in company's case management system; and other responsibilities that may be assigned.
