Paralegal, Real Estate The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Legal Department Counsel while working collaboratively and cooperatively with the Real Estate, Finance and other company departments in a team-oriented environment. May perform any or all of the following duties: Prepare first drafts of letters of intent, leases, lease amendments, purchase contracts, closing documents and other real estate documents from templates. Review SNDA and estoppels -prepare analysis for attorneys and real estate department. Order and coordinate with third parties regarding various real property reports and agreements, including title, ALTA surveys, environmental, zoning and related reports. Conduct document management, including shared databases and entry of key contract milestones. Review title and ALTA surveys. Prepare closing checklists, title objection letter and closing instruction letters. Prepare lease and other agreement abstracts and summaries. Review and comment on Lease Option renewal documents. Review or create legal descriptions. Process ROFRs. Provide general paralegal support for legal department. Prepares professional written communications on behalf of counsel. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills; communicates effectively with various contacts (internal and external). Attends training to remain current on industry trends. Participates in company meetings, webinars and conference calls. Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.Must possess a BA/BS Degree or approximately five (5) to six (6) years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of commercial and/or industrial real estate paralegal experience. Must have proven experience in contract coordination and database management. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook). Knowledge of law, business, real estate, litigation, contracts, sales and management is preferred. Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information.
