Foreclosure Functional Coordinator The candidate provides advanced administrative/operational support for the foreclosure area coordinating a variety of complex tasks. Monitors the foreclosure of loans secured by real estate through designated law firms and/or vendors and updates Bank's systems timely and accurately. Prepares and/or reviews foreclosure documents for accuracy and obtains appropriate signatures and notarization. Reviews title reports; works through title claims. Maintains accurate records for both internal and external audits. Makes presentations and recommendations of appropriate action to senior management related to foreclosure properties. Orders/recommends appraisals or inspections of properties, evaluates equity position and recommends bidding instructions for foreclosure sales. Receives recommendations for foreclosure from collections and reviews to confirm equity position, risk of loss and opportunity for Loss Mitigation workouts and/or foreclosure. Ensures account balances are written down in accordance with bank policy. Responsible for ensuring vacant properties are secured in a manner consistent with protecting firm's interest. Responsible for completing additional training and gaining a better understanding of the collection, foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation and mortgage servicing processes. Handles phone calls from customers, law firms and internal departments.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have high school diploma or GED. Must have 3+ years of operation or default experience and customer service experience to include 6+ months of foreclosure experience. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Knowledge of MSP, HOGAN/DRI, is preferred. Mortgage Title experience is preferred. Prior experience work in a high-volume/fast-paced environment is preferred. Prior collections, loss mitigation, or bankruptcy experience is preferred. Proven experience in a decision making and/or workout type position is preferred. Must have excellent customer service skills, be highly motivated, focused, and goal oriented. Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor. MS Office and internet proficiency is preferred.
