ProfileLegal Assistant The candidate will provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectivenes. Will perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc). Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars. Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court. Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence. Rotation to cover receptionist desk; Answer and direct phone calls. Must have Bachelor’s degree, prior experience preferred. Significant paralegal experience is considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree. Strong computer and organizational skills, experience with Microsoft Office as well as effective communication skills are essential.
