Paralegal I- Litigation and Legal Affairs
The candidate will provide support and assistance to the company's in-house litigation group. Will be responsible for using their knowledge and skills to assist in managing the company’s litigation matters, enhance the company’s processes, and help maintain the company’s ethical and compliance standards. Report to in-house counsel and collaborate with other in-house counsel, paralegals, and outside attorneys in pursuit of company goals and objectives. Initial review and analysis of incoming pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents. Drafting pleadings, settlement agreements, dismissals, discovery, legal correspondence and memoranda for attorney review as required. Efficiently and effectively manage a portfolio of cases weighted towards individual litigation matters and some low-risk class action cases. Assist in legal research and factual investigations, document gathering, and large-scale document production. Interact with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to gather information, documentation, or data as required for task at hand, or act as authorized to resolve the identified matter. Drive improvement in litigation support service levels by anticipating needs, reducing response times, ensuring accuracy, and enhancing experience of internal and external stakeholders (including business units and outside counsel). Assist in optimizing department workflow and processes to ensure that appropriate levels of resources are applied to legal workflow (thus promoting consistency, accuracy and efficiency). Identify process improvements to ensure company compliance with legal requirements or to increase department efficiency. Work on special projects as required.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Paralegal Certificate. Must have 0-2 years of experience in a Paralegal role. Experience with the Microsoft Suite and other Software. Computer Savvy is essential.
