Location:

Duties:

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and trials.
  • Collaborate with paralegals to achieve client objectives.
  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring they are up to date.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, helping them navigate their legal challenges.
  • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings.
  • Mentor and guide assigned paralegals, ensuring they understand and embody the firm's core values.
  • Analyze legal issues, create strategic plans of action, and provide effective solutions to clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly in emotional and stressful situations.
  • Experience with family law and real estate matters, especially with marital property division.
  • Extra consideration for candidates with a criminal justice background.
  • Strong knowledge of representing plaintiffs and defendants in family law cases.
  • Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Georgia.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Georgia Bar License (Required).

Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create strategic legal plans.
  • Attention to detail in organizing and maintaining case files.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases and effectively represent clients in court.
