Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious and rapidly expanding law firm is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Immigration Attorney to join its team in Washington, DC. The firm is looking for a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, overseeing a team of paralegals, and providing exceptional legal service to clients. Experience in immigration law is preferred, but those with backgrounds in other legal fields are encouraged to apply.
Duties:
- Conduct consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs.
- Develop and implement case strategies.
- Manage multiple cases, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Supervise and train legal staff, including paralegals.
- Draft and revise legal documents such as court filings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
- Perform legal research and keep updated on changes in immigration law and case precedents.
- Handle court hearings, trials, and client representation.
- Promote the firm’s legal services and help cross-sell other practice areas.
- Work one Saturday a month, with opportunities for bonuses for new clients signed during those days.
- Become a subject matter expert in areas like Family Petitions, Asylum, SIJIS, U-Visas, and Waivers.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Bar License in Good Standing from any US state or Puerto Rico.
- Fluency in Spanish (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in immigration law (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active Bar License in Good Standing from any US State or Puerto Rico.
Skills:
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Proficiency in managing legal cases and client interactions.
- Strong research and writing abilities.
- Ability to supervise and manage legal staff.
- Knowledge of immigration law, including Family Petitions, Asylum, and U-Visas.
- Ability to handle a high caseload and meet tight deadlines.
