Licensed Attorney Duties: Provides CASA volunteer / GAL and legal advocacy to achieve good outcomes for children. Develops capacity within the child welfare community to serve our children and their families. Provides legal advice and advocacy. Provides legal representation, including: Ongoing support and legal advice to CASA Manager(s), GAL(s), and CASA volunteers. Preparing motions and other legally required documents. Represents a strong model of child advocacy to Committed Community and general community. Developing capacity within child welfare community to serve children and families. Establish and maintain strong, close working relationships with the court and service community. Providing information and guidance for essential stories. Participates in informational meetings and provides training as needed with outside groups. Assists with the setting and evaluation of all agency goals and objectives, including but not limited to: Providing input, reviewing, and evaluating all research findings. Recommending program changes and improvements. Providing raw data. Providing input regarding all financial needs and expenses. Communicates need for volunteers and provides assistance in designing and implementing volunteer training. Supervises, manages, supports, evaluates, and communicates on-going status of volunteers. Communicates need for volunteers and provides assistance in designing and implementing volunteer training. Attends & provides assistance with all activities & events as requested. Performs duties in accordance with objectives and in compliance with relevant standards and agency commitments. Attends all staff meetings and establishes good teamwork with co-workers. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Volunteer supervision experience is desired. Attention to details is necessary. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and knowledge of database management and Microsoft Office are necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively on internal and external teams are necessary.
