ProfileAssistant District Attorney The candidate will assist in the overall management and supervision of the Trial Division. Will work closely with Bureau/Unit Chiefs and executive leadership to create, develop and administer policy. Proficient in current investigating techniques and case enhancement methods but seeks out best practices locally and nationally. Outstanding communication skills across all levels of an organization including internally and externally. Conduct in-depth case review and conferences. Extensive knowledge of the criminal justice system at the judicial and executive levels. Work cooperatively with a large and diverse staff. Participate in training for office personnel and outside agencies. Participate and take the lead on legislative committees, interacting with members of the community and external agencies. Preside over Bureau/Unit meetings as needed. Perform all other related duties and projects as designated. A JD degree, 10+ years of experience and 8 years of management experience is needed. Should have US Citizenship and New York State Residency. Strong business planning and forecasting skills are needed. Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is needed. Excellent presentation and organizational skills is essential.
