Seeking Associate (Corporate Securities-Technology) with 4 years M&A and emerging company experience. Candidate with admission to practice in California and experience from an Am Law 100 firm, preferably in Silicon Valley or similar tech environment, is preferred. Should have broad experience in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions involving both public and private companies, including drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements and ancillary documents, supervising junior associates, and otherwise managing and closing transactions. Should also have broad experience working with emerging technology companies, including corporate formation, seed and venture financings, general corporate work and governance and compliance matters. Public company experience, including IPOs and other public offerings and SEC reporting, is a plus. Should have a high level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school, exceptional oral, written and interpersonal skills, and a strong attention to detail. Should be ambitious/highly motivated, have a strong work ethic and leadership skills, have an interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility, have good business and strategic judgment, and have the ability to handle day-to-day demands and workflow of working in a team-orientated and dynamic environment.

I would like to advise management that they should create staff positions for long-terms and growth opportunities should be provided on the basis of merit.

Pros : Pay is above market average and perks are also good. Other positive things are Friendly staff, good benefits and nice working environment. The firm has a great culture that promotes diversity and inclusiveness, which is rare to find these days.
Cons : Poor management and lack of confidentiality within management. They expect you to work 12 hours a day and six days a week. So work-life balance is very poor and workload is very high.
