Job Overview: A law firm seeks a driven Associate Attorney to join its Business Litigation and Product Liability/Complex Torts practice groups in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in business litigation or product liability/complex torts, with a demonstrated ability to handle discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. Duties:

• Draft and respond to discovery requests, ensuring thorough and accurate case preparation.
• Engage in motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions in court.
• Manage cases efficiently, organizing documents and coordinating with clients and team members.
• Take and defend depositions, collaborating with senior attorneys to shape case strategy.
• Assist in the development and discovery of expert witnesses for litigation.
• Provide trial assistance, supporting attorneys in court proceedings and trial preparation.
• Participate in business development efforts to build and strengthen client relationships.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in business litigation and/or product liability/complex torts.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience in litigation tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a desire for client contact and hands-on litigation work.
• Must be admitted to practice law in Minnesota or eligible for admission.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain one).

Skills:

• Expertise in legal research, writing, and motion practice.
• Proficiency in managing complex litigation tasks, including discovery and depositions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Leadership skills and a desire for professional growth and client interaction.
