Immigration Services Analyst - GS 9 – 12 The candidate coordinate with all National Benefits Center Divisions and all USCIS Divisions, Service Centers, and Offices to support systems, processes, and practices related to goals, objectives, and priorities. Apply technical proficiency to evaluate and summarize large quantities of data in appropriate presentation format for information sharing and decision making. Proficient working knowledge of spreadsheets. Demonstrate expertise in team settings to develop queries, tables and reports that provide sound technical analysis supporting USCIS initiatives, operations, and functional responsibilities. Carry out all aspects of project management through project completion, including production of applicable presentations to meet or exceed customer expectations. Utilize diverse data sources to collect relevant information, determine the accuracy of the data and identify issues. Solve practical problems by choosing appropriately from a variety of mathematical and statistical techniques.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have following qualifications: GS-09: Must possess 1 year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-07 level in the federal government, that equipped with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have experience performing the following duties: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level that demonstrates the ability to provide assistance to higher graded analysts by developing background information for studies. Compile and chart statistical data based on customer needs. Gather, summarize and analyze information for incorporation into final reports. Carry out specified portions or segments of specific projects. Identify and recommend solutions to problems. OR have successfully completed the requirements for a Master's degree or 2 full years of graduate education leading to such a degree in any field or a J.D. or L.L.B. degree in an accredited college. GS-11: In Addition to the requirements at the lower grade level(s), qualify at the GS-11 level if possess 1 year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-09 level in the federal government, that equipped with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have experience performing the following duties: Gathering, reviewing, verifying and consolidating information and statistical data; conducting studies to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems in organizational structure, staffing, administrative procedures, work processes, or workload distribution; using qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to assess factual or procedural issues related to management processes, systems and mission support programs. OR have successfully completed the requirements for a Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent degree) or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in any field, or L.L.M. if related in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university. GS-12: In Addition to the requirements at the lower grade level(s), qualify at the GS-12 level if possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have experience performing the following duties: Conducting studies, analyzing findings and making recommendations on substantive operating programs. Conducting detailed analyses of complex functions and work processes such as production standards, workloads, and appropriate staffing levels. Developing guidance on management evaluation techniques.
