Code Research Analyst The candidate will serve as a liaison between various internal departments of Jones Sign, such as Project Management, Sales, Design and others; as well as municipalities throughout the United States and Canada. Will support this role primarily during the research and interpretation of municipal sign regulations while determining sign allowances for national and local projects. Prepare numerous code reports, review and respond to internal and external code related inquiries which will lead to the obtainment and approval of permits for the installation of signs. Research and document municipal sign regulations as it relates to assigned projects. Review property owners' sign requirements. Attend internal and external meetings upon request. Communicate with municipal staff and regulatory authorities. Remain current with industry updates regarding municipal sign regulations and codified ordinances. Any other duties and work assigned by supervisor. Should have Associate degree or equivalent, or 2+ yearsâ€™ experience in a professional office setting. Should have Experience researching and analyzing legal documentation. Background as a paralegal, in a legal setting, contract negotiation, technical writing, compliance, zoning administration, or other related work experience is preferred. Experience reading, interpreting, and working with municipal codified ordinances and zoning regulations is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skill is essential. Must have strong negotiation skills. Should have strong customer service skill.
