ProfileMiami office of our client seeks employment litigation associate attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The candidate will handle defense of agency charges of discrimination, lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and advice and counseling involving similar issues. Will represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, wage-hour, contract, employment tort, and restrictive covenant cases. Advise and train employers on a wide range of employment laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination laws. Effectively and persuasively write briefs and motions for the benefit of the clients. Cultivate productive and effective relationships with clients. Argue decisively at court hearings. Conduct fact gathering and advantageous depositions. Defend properly prepared client representatives at deposition. Should have Florida Bar Admission. Prior employment law or federal/appellate clerking experience is a plus. North Carolina Admission with "active" status is required. Understanding of current state and federal court and agency procedures is needed.
