Profile

Paralegal II The candidate will provide paralegal support to the General Counsel and the Legal Office Manager on various high-level assignments. Will assist with maintenance and management of electronic legal matter management systems, documents, files, and reports. Perform periodic internal assessments. Assist with policy and procedure development and user training. Interface with vendor technical support. Manage LC’s Legal Hold Process (proxy acknowledgment for custodians, monitor acknowledgment compliance, monitor and manage Oracle employee departure change monitor notices, manage release of holds, construct interviews in interview module, assist users with password issues, update templates, and interface with vendor technical support. Assist with compliance of 10 CFR 719 Contractor Legal Management. Correspond with outside counsel on budget estimates and staffing and resource plans, prepare routine litigation budget/cost reports, other legal office reports, and assist with internal/external litigation cost audits. Should have 5 years’ experience as a paralegal in a law office or similar setting. Experience working with document management systems, databases, or legal matter management systems is required. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required. Must have excellent organization, proofreading, and writing skills. Should have proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is a must. Working knowledge of 10 CFR 719 Contractor Legal Management Requirements is a plus. Experience with legal hold processes and software is preferred. Should preferably have experience with eDiscovery workflows and review platforms/software. Experience using e-Billing software is a plus. Experience using Electronic Case Filing in federal or state court is preferred. Paralegal certificate a plus.
