A law firm seeking an Intellectual Property Associate Attorney in Chicago. The Intellectual Property Associate Attorney will be responsible for patent preparation and prosecution in chemical and mechanical arts, design patent preparation and prosecution, trademark preparation and prosecution, IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, IP litigation support, and IP licensing. The role requires strong research and writing skills, exceptional project management abilities, and a JD from an accredited law school.

Duties:

• Conduct patent preparation and prosecution in chemical and mechanical arts.
• Handle design patent preparation and prosecution.
• Manage trademark preparation and prosecution, including inter partes actions.
• Perform IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide support for IP litigation matters.
• Assist in IP licensing negotiations and agreements.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 2-5 years of experience in intellectual property law.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Exceptional project management abilities.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Proficient in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Strong understanding of trademark law and procedures.
• Ability to conduct IP due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
