The candidate will play a crucial role in the firm's robust mergers and acquisitions practice, working closely with clients in the insurance and financial services sectors. The position requires expertise in managing M&A transactions, drafting transaction documents, and advising on general corporate matters.

Job Duties:

  • Perform and oversee due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and agreements.
  • Coordinate transaction closings and manage post-closing integration matters.
  • Advise clients on general corporate law matters, including entity formation and governance.
  • Handle other corporate and transactional tasks such as joint ventures and commercial contracts.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and specialists within the firm.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a variety of mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Admission to the Georgia Bar or ability to waive into Georgia Bar admission.
  • Strong academic record demonstrating excellence in legal studies.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with law review or similar publications preferred.
