Managing Paralegal
The candidate will manage a sub-team (a team focused on a portion of the Subpoena and Garnishment Unit’s responsibilities) of Paralegals responsible for third party subpoena productions within the Subpoena and Garnishment Unit. This role will also collaborate with other Managing Paralegals within the Subpoena and Garnishment Unit to oversee the daily workflow of each sub-team and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of tasks, adherence to deadlines, proper execution of operational processes, research and proper analysis of legal issues and preparation of correspondence with clients and attorneys as well as other legal materials. Provide training, guidance, manage workloads and assist the Business Support Manager with developing processes to track and ensure quality and accuracy; develop best practices. Respond to escalated issues and provide direct support to the Business Support Manager, as needed. Manage the on boarding of new team members. Lead team with integrity and create an environment where team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them. Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have 6+ years of paralegal experience. Must have 1+ year of leadership or management experience. Must have reporting experience. Must have ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management. Must have ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members. Must have ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment. Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Must have strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills. Must have workforce management experience including: directing activities of team members, performance management, career development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning. Must have strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Must have 5+ years of focused practice experience in one or more concentrated areas of law.
