Duties

  • Represent clients in litigation matters involving environmental regulations and natural resource management.

  • Advise clients on compliance with federal and state environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Environmental Policy Act.

  • Assist companies in securing environmental permits and defending against legal challenges related to project development and regulatory compliance.

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and memoranda.

  • Handle discovery, including document review, interrogatories, and depositions.

  • Defend clients in enforcement actions and citizen suits filed under environmental statutes.

  • Participate in administrative proceedings and policy advocacy related to environmental and natural resource regulations.

  • Collaborate with legal teams to develop litigation strategies and regulatory approaches that align with client objectives.

Education

Certifications

  • Litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, motions, and conducting discovery.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret legal and regulatory frameworks affecting natural resource industries.
