Managing Paralegal Duties: Oversee the work of the team and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of tasks Oversee research and analysis provided by the team, as well as the preparation of legal documentation, correspondence with clients and attorneys and other materials. Develop processes to track and ensure quality and accuracy; develop best practices Respond to escalated issues, providing direct support to senior leadership, as needed Provide training and guidance to the team; manage the onboarding of new team members Ensure compliance with all applicable policy and regulatory requirements Coordinate with attorneys on special requests and highly complex projects Assess and determine the go forward operational structure for the team in order to effectively and efficiently manage paralegal support for the attorneys supporting multiple business and enterprise functions including mergers & acquisition and strategic investments, corporate properties and real estate, third party contracts, and payments, virtual solutions, and innovation activities, including FinTech activities. Develop current and new team members in order to meet the evolving needs of the attorneys supported. Lead the team to provide accurate, creative, timely and consistent paralegal support to the attorney teams. Follow and ensure consistent application of Company and Department policies and procedures. Lead team with integrity and create an environment where team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them. Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 6+ years of paralegal experience. 1+ year of leadership or management experience. Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of focused practice experience in one or more concentrated areas of law. Project management experience. Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Solid conflict management and decision making skills. Desired: Experience supervising or mentoring and training paralegals or administrative support. Experience researching FinTech. Prioritize and manage workloads. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities. Supporting senior managing attorneys and/or senior attorneys. Close Date: 01/22/2019
