ProfileSenior Manager, Business Development Duties: Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Provides overall Business Development support, including the analysis and negotiation of company-wide agreements. Supports the negotiation of business transactions of small-medium dollar value. Reviews and evaluates business proposals from vendors, identifying improvments as well as the negotiation strategy to obtain them. Develops and maintains relationships with peers at cable companies, vendors and possible partners. Maintains and fosters communication across all divisions and functions within Charter as needed. Prepares deal summaries and participates in presentation preparation efforts for senior management. Understands and occasionally participates in creating business cases. Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in physical science, math, finance, economics, accounting, liberal arts or related field. MBA and/or JD preferred. 5-7 years' Contract negotiation and drafting experience. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to converse and interact with middle level operations, sales and finance persons within Charter and at external companies. Understanding of cable and telecommunications products and services. Familiarity with cable industry trends and competitors, including new entrants. Understands Proven knowledge with financial modeling and financial reporting and analysis. Understands college-level accounting theory and procedures. Ability to analyze, understand and interpret data. Ability to lead multiple projects and tasks. Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner. Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems while working under pressure. Strong ability to prioritize and organize effectively. Shows good judgment and initiative. Strong time management skills with ability to meet deadlines. Strong ability using standard professional tools, e.g., PCs, tablets, phones, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to motivate and persuade others. Ability to lead Charter employees through the deal process. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest degree of professional standards.
