A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Family Law with a willingness to assist in criminal defense cases to join its practice in Oklahoma City, OK. This role offers an opportunity to manage family law cases independently while collaborating on criminal defense matters as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to providing personalized legal services to clients.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and property disputes.
• Assist senior attorneys with criminal defense cases, including research, document preparation, and court appearances.
• Maintain independent responsibility for client file management and representation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they are informed and reassured throughout the legal process.
• Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court, mediation, and other legal proceedings as needed.
• Collaborate with the legal team to provide comprehensive legal services across family and criminal law areas.

Requirements:

• Experience in family law, including case management and client representation.
• Willingness to assist with criminal defense matters as required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and the legal team.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to ensure the thorough management of client files.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Oklahoma.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Ability to handle a variety of family law cases independently.
• Adept at representing clients in court and negotiating favorable outcomes.
• Proficiency in legal software and case management tools.
