A law firm in Emeryville, CA, seeks a Senior Wage and Hour Attorney with 11+ years of experience. The ideal candidate must be admitted to the California Bar and possess extensive knowledge and expertise in wage and hour law.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients on wage and hour matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on wage and hour laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to effectively advocate for clients in administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and litigation.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and appellate proceedings related to wage and hour disputes.
  • Counsel clients on compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including wage payment, overtime, minimum wage, and meal/rest break requirements.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex wage and hour cases and class actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior attorneys and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • Minimum of 11 years of experience practicing law, focusing on wage and hour litigation and counseling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in California wage and hour laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of success in handling complex wage and hour cases from inception to resolution.
  • Strong litigation skills, including courtroom experience and appellate advocacy.

Certifications:
