Immigration Services : Caseworker/Paralegal Duties: Responsible for managing the US Immigration Program at a client site. He or she will advise on specific immigration challenges, foster new and strategic ideas, and support the immigration hiring process. Project Management: Oversee facilitation of the application and maintenance of US lawful immigration status and employment authorization for employees and candidates. Manage general immigration email inbox, identifying important and sensitive issues and managing their successful resolution within a fast-paced, high volume environment. Perform initial assessment of new hire candidates for Recruiters and coordinate with Pearl s legal team to initiate cases upon client authorization. Perform initial assessment of potential internal transfers for Mobility and coordinate with Pearl s legal team to initiate cases upon client authorization. Perform initial assessment for business travelers, coordinate cost approvals and case initiation with Pearl s legal team, and draft one-off letters, as needed. Focus on serving as the first-line internal resource for the business and employees for day-to-day questions. Build and maintain relationships with recruiters, HR, managers and other internal partners while promoting our Firm s various services. Provide regular immigration trainings to recruiters and other internal partners. Facilitate calls and consultations involving Pearl s legal team, employees, recruiters and/or the business. Manage LCA public access file maintenance . Drive ad-hoc report requests. Strategy: Ensure a cohesive and successful partnership between the Pearl legal team and the client s internal immigration and mobility team.. Support Global Immigration Manager with day-to-day tasks needed to run the immigration program and promote it within the company. Address client escalations quickly, clearly communicating regular updates to all parties, and drive resolution of the issue. Manage immigration function for all U.S. relocations, track cases and run weekly docket with Mobility Team. Streamline communication among the business, employees, and Pearl legal team to meet SLAs and set expectations. Participate in meetings or conference calls. Identify projects to improve processes and communication with the Pearl legal team and/or the client, and implement solutions by leveraging technology and all other available resources. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of Global Mobility and US Immigration related experience. Experience preparing both immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions (desirable). In-depth experience with US immigration requirements and processes. Capacities to prioritize, manage, and implement multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Ability to work with ambiguous or unclear requirements, and drive to a successful resolution . A high level of client service acumen and ability to work with all levels of a client s organization. Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking abilities. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement. Have the ability to work effectively with others and have great interpersonal skills. Must be willing to accept responsibility and show good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness. Proven people and project management skills. Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple cases. Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
