IP Program Manager The candidate will handle robust patent and trademark portfolio management. Will track and organize IP-related metrics and communications with outside counsel. Assist in planning and managing of global trademark portfolio. Prepare and file patent prosecution-related documents (e.g. Power of Attorney). Communicate with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Manage invention disclosures and related correspondences with inventors. Maintain USPTO customer numbers and PKI Certificates. Budget and invoice tracking and implementation. Should have foundational knowledge in different types of patent protection (e.g. provisional, utility, PCT). Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g. Word and Excel) is required. Should have experience with e-billing software (e.g. Serengeti, T360). Excellent written and oral communication skills are needed. Should have paralegal Certificate or comparable degree in Paralegal/Legal Studies or related field. Experience with trademark search tools and databases is required. Should have experience with USPTO's PAIR system. Experience with IP portfolio management software (e.g. Anaqua, CPi, CPA Global) is required. Must have 4+ years of project management experience as a legal assistant or IP paralegal in a law firm or company environment. 3+ years of trademark filing or management experience is needed. Should have 2+ years of patent experience. Patent and/or trademark paralegal certificate is preferred. Experience with US and international copyright applications is a plus. Familiarity with basic accounting principles is preferred. Experience with litigation assistance or related databases (e.g. PACER) is required.
