Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide legal and other consultative services in a variety of matters affecting the company’s operations, with a particular emphasis on international business. Will prepare, analyze, and review a variety of contracts/ agreements, both foreign and domestic, with vendors, customers and other third parties including, but not limited to, sales, services, supply, IT, consulting, license, purchase, leases and other agreements. Offer legal advice that is consistent with the company’s values, helps the organization achieve its objectives, and provides for a practical balancing of legal risks with business results. Consistently exercise sound judgment related to allocation of risk, and suggest alternatives and resolution for legal and business matters. Develop, review, and proactively update all standard contracts and forms. Research and analyze the law on complex international business issues to support business-legal decisions. Assist in the development of policies and positions based on international, federal, state and local requirements. Consult with foreign offices, work with outside counsel, and effectively present to senior level management. Develop knowledge of company’s business international activities, as well as an awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and judicial developments.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 3-5 years of corporate legal experience. International business experience preferred. Should have Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Experience in document review, legal compliance, risk management, and contract management is required.
