Physical Security Specialist, GS 11 Duties: The candidate will serve as a physical security specialist in the navy recruiting command of department of the navy. Will plan required threat and Antiterrorism (AT) working groups in accordance with DoD, Navy, and CNRC guidance for assessment of threats and vulnerabilities to identify and implement risk mitigation measures. You will conduct AT and physical security assessments of facilities to identify potential vulnerabilities. Develop AT and security policy and procedures, in accordance with guidance. Monitor installation of new physical security features to ensure installation conforms to specifications. Plan and execute a drill program to exercise all aspects of the AT plan at every subordinate facility. Validate AT policies and procedures through training and exercise.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: The candidate should have 1+ year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Must have specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implement risk mitigation measures based on the assessment of threats and vulnerabilities; Execute Antiterrorism (AT) program in accordance to policies and procedures; Coordinate with agencies to ensure understanding of antiterrorism security needs of the organization; and Develop discrepancy reports of physical security items for repair or replacement. Must have Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree OR successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled OR have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
