Job Overview

A prominent Seattle-based law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its litigation team. This role involves managing complex litigation matters, including real estate disputes, business conflicts, construction litigation, and policyholder insurance coverage. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple cases independently while providing strategic legal guidance.

Duties

• Collaborate with multiple partners and manage responsibilities across different cases
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including admissions, disclosures, interrogatories, and depositions
• Attend and oversee hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other court proceedings
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Communicate effectively with clients and provide sound legal advice based on their concerns
• Conduct thorough legal research, analyze case law, statutes, and regulations impacting clients
• Organize and manage documents from multiple sources in complex litigation
• Utilize critical thinking skills to solve complex legal issues with professionalism and creativity

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in complex commercial litigation
• Proven ability to handle diverse litigation matters, including real estate and construction disputes
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality legal work

Education

• Undergraduate and Juris Doctor (.) degrees from accredited institutions

Certifications

• Current membership with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA)

Skills

• Proficient in legal research, analysis, and drafting of persuasive legal documents
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information logically and clearly
• Capable of managing complex litigation processes and working with multiple stakeholders
• Initiative and creativity in handling complex legal challenges
